Repels Lizards, But They Come Back Soon, March 12, 2012 By josh u (south florida) - See all my reviews This review is from: Iguana-Rid Ready-To-Use Spray Bottle (Lawn & Patio) I bought a gallon of Iguana Rid to deal with a lizard problem in and around my home. I live in southeast FL and lizards have overrun my patios, patio furniture, sliding glass doors, roof, shrubs and exterior walls. They were climbing into my roof vents, leaving poop stains on my walls and patio furniture. No iguanas, but have scores of anoles, geckos, skinks and curly tails (the worst of the bunch).
I sprayed an entire gallon of Iguana Rid under the roof overhang and on the patio, exterior walls and shrubs. The lizards ran away, but they run away whenever they see or hear someone. I did make direct contact on a gecko and it was stunned and fell from the wall. A few days later they were back, but more tentative and more in the shrubs than on the patio or walls.
Iguana Rid smells of strong garlic and cinnamon and will get your neighbors attention. I praise the developer of this product since its one of a kind, and it may work well for wild iguanas, which are more... Read more
Do NOT spray on succulents!!, December 27, 2011 By k-rags (Florida Keys, USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Iguana-Rid Ready-To-Use Spray Bottle (Lawn & Patio) I sprayed this product on several potted succulents that are prone to snail damage. We were expecting company that day and the product, which is milky white, didn't look good, so I immediately rinsed it off, with the intention of spraying again the next day. To my horror, when I went out the next morning, I found the plants I had sprayed were dying! The leaves were shriveled and dark and many of them were falling off, I assume because the product tended to collect at the joint of the leaf and stem. It looked like the product had sucked the moisture out of the leaves. THIS PRODUCT KILLS SUCCULENTS!
