It works, but be patient, June 27, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Bayer Advanced 704115A Crabgrass Killer for Lawns Ready-to-Spray, 32-Ounces (Lawn & Patio) Bayer Crabgrass Killer (not the Crabgrass combo killer -- that's a different formula), is the consumer version of Acclaim Extra. This is the only stuff I've found that kills Japanese Stiltgrass, and is a real godsend.
The label says that you will start to see results in 4-10 days. In my case, my lawn was a little more stressed due to an unusual 95 degree June heat wave, and I didn't start seeing signs until 14 days. One month later, most of the stiltgrass is dead, with the areas that were less stressed succumbing first (and a few holdouts that were in stressed sunny areas, are just now starting to die). I think the stress makes the plants less likely to absorb the spray.

Don't Waste Your Money & Time, August 19, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Bayer Advanced 704115A Crabgrass Killer for Lawns Ready-to-Spray, 32-Ounces (Lawn & Patio) This stuff killed parts of my lawned area as there are now new brown spots, BUT, the crabgrass was undaunted. It has been three weeks and the crabgrass is just smirking at me. I was careful with the instructions and was thorough - this product is totally ineffectual. I have to recall that the other "Bayer" yard products I have tried in the past were not worth their money as well. Someone let me know if they actually do find an effective crabgrass killer. All that has worked for me as yet is just pulling it up.

This product works, but not perfectly.
First, the sprayer is not great, and sprays unevenly. If you do you whole lawn in one pass, you will notice that some areas got treated better than others.
Secondly, you need at least two treatments (about two weeks apart). The first treatment may turn the crabgrass yellow, but not kill it.
MY ADVICE:
Treat with double the dose (one bottle one day, a second bottle the next) in order to make up for the unevenness in the sprayer.
Then, do the same thing again in two weeks.
