This is the first summer we have had a garden at our new home and our vegetables have been mostly untouched. Maybe we don't really have a pest problem, but if we do, this organic spray has prevented nearly any damage to our plants as a result of insects, etc. The concentrated spray will last us for several years--you need only a tablespoon per quart of water. We typically use about 2 tablespoons worth every 2-3 weeks on a garden that is 30' x 60'. Great to have a product that is safe, convenient and effective to use.

It is not a contact killer. Use on thrips, leaf miners, caterpillars, etc. It can be used as a spray and can be mixed with a wetting agent or a mild dish soap and used as a soil drench. When using as a drench, it will typically raise PH, so it is important to adjust accordingly. I will break into Spinosad products before turning to heavier hitting insecticides because it is a more natural product and is considered to be organic. It should be effective within 1-3 days. You may need to reapply several times for complete effectiveness. If you do not see the first signs of results within 72 hours, you more than likely have a bug Spinosad can't help with and it is time to change attack strategies.
The Monterey brand is a good all around brand. Their formulas are effective and their pricing point is very good. Compared to hydro store and grow... Read more

Buy your own sprayer., September 30, 2009 By This review is from: Monterey Spinosad Organic Garden Insect Spray - Pint Concentrate LG6150 (Lawn & Patio) My review is not in the quality of the liquid inside be bottle, but in the quality and of the sprayer. I bought two of bottles, the first sprayed back on me. The second did well, but sprayed the whole content of the bottle in less than 150 SF. I exchange sprayer and use the first bottle, the whole content when again in less than 150 Sf. So, the moral should be buy your own sprayer and do your own refill.
