It's the kind you hook up to your hose and spray. Most people prefer this to the pick-up-the-can and spray it kind that I prefer.
MY problem is, I forget to read carefully enough, and when it came, I had trouble spraying it. Now I am reading the instructions. Shake well. Connect sprayer to HOSE. Turn on water. I do not do well with the kind of spray that has to be connected to a hose. That wasn't what I intended to buy. Most people love this method, but I don't like to have to unscrew the hose that is already connected, connect this to it, etc. Something always goes wrong for me. I PREFER the kind that you just spray directly, not through a hose. Since I bought the wrong kind, I just put the sprayer from the last one I bought in this one and used it as I usually do.
I had to wait for a day when the wind wasn't blowing 30 mph, but I saw some results the next day. Some took 2 weeks before the weeds just wilted. Then you can just get rid of... Read more

Good product, horrible design, August 7, 2011 This review is from: Ortho Weed-B-Gon MAX Plus Crabgrass Control Ready-to-Spray - 32-Ounce 9993410 (Lawn & Patio) For what little time the bottle allowed me to spray the stuff worked great. It killed some weeds within 24 hours while some others took a few days before they died as well.
The stuff inside the bottle is great.
I hated the bottle design. It is cheaply constructed and the hose connector frequently separates from the bottle even when the water pressure is on very, very low.
If you can get the weed killer out of the bottle, this is a 5 star product. But since quality construction seems to be a low priority for Ortho, I'm giving this 1 star because it is useless to me.

We all like to have a nice green and healthy lawn but is just seems like the weeds like to take over if you are not careful. I like these types of sprayers as I can drag a long hose to the back of the yard and cover everything with this ratio spraying head. This bottle covers 5,000 square feet of lawn so I use this and another one gallon bottle of this product and just refill the sprayer.
What I like about this product is that it kills 225 types of weeds and not the grass. I mostly get dandelions, clover and crabgrass and this product is ideal for treating those problems. One word of warning is that if you have just seeded your lawn you have to wait 4 weeks before you can use this product. For crabgrass it is a pre-emergence killer and thus the grass seeds will not germinate and grow. I try to plant my grass seeds in the fall to avoid applying this type of product at the same time as... Read more
